After I got home from work the other day, I installed a new third brake light at the rear end of my bZ4X. In my haste to install the new mod, I noticed that I had forgotten to connect it in, and the right rear wheel was making a buzzing noise when I turned it on. I restarted the vehicle and it disappeared. However the buzzing noise kept on coming back esp when the vehicle is parked. I am not sure why this happened. Any idea?

this might be because of the unplugged connection that you mentioned. best option for you is just go to your local dealership and get it diagnosed.

This happened to mine one time. It turned out that the buzzing noise was due to a grounding issue or a loose connection after the installation.

@jamesMat21 might've been due to loose connection. Did you attempt to reset? MIght resolve it but if not I suggest have it checked. But this post has been a while so I wonder if your go tit fixed.

My wife had the same thing. She had it checked by the dealership because it was annoying her and couldn't be the cause. Turns out it was the loose connection after installation. Better have it checked.

That’s strange! Could it be that the new brake light installation affected something else, maybe a sensor or wiring near the rear wheel? Have you checked the connections? or what was it?? Since this post been months

Well there could be a lot of things connected to your installation. Loose wires, damaged bulb or ground loop issue. So you have to check the connection, inspect for grounding issues and check the brake light switch.

Buzzing noise, huh? That's definitely not good. It's hard to say without seeing it, but it sounds like something's not right. Maybe it's a sensor acting up?
