I know Toyota has stated that charging the bZ4X to 100% on Level 1 or 2 is fine, but I’m curious if there’s a long-term benefit to sticking to 80–90% instead.

Before the charging update, I used to cap my charge at 90% out of caution, but lately, I’ve been letting it hit 100%. It’s super convenient to start every day with a full charge, even though most of the time I don’t need the extra range.

What do you all think? Is there any reason to go back to limiting the charge, or is it truly fine to top it off every night? I’m okay with trading a bit of range now if it means the battery will last longer in the years to come. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!

It seems like charging to 100% is fine, especially with Toyota’s update, but sticking to 80-90% can help preserve long-term battery health. If you're okay with losing a bit of range, charging less might be a safer bet over time.
